Okay CCW - once again you NAILED it! This is such a powerful reminder and deeply needed personally! If we honestly look around also “needed everywhere in these crazy times!”
It’s all about the moment, if we are not looking for the moment and seeking the quiet we will surely miss it! Love your Substack sister.
SO WITH YOU. Also, I just want to be with you wherever that gorgeous picture is, finding some good street tacos and eating in a parking lot together. Moments.
Honestly, parking lot tacos entered my mind while writing this. And that pic is from my trip to Oregon! Those paw prints are from the one and only Harriet.
Also, once again, you have written exactly the thing I needed to read today, complete with a beautiful and serene and urgently necessary image. You are so right that whatever you turn up the loudest wins, and you're also right that tuning into whatever's happening is a sure way to modify the noise to acceptable levels. Thank you for this. xo
That picture is from Harris State Beach in Brookings, Oregon. The paw prints are from Harriet. And I am so glad this resonated with you. Lots and lots and lots of heart emojis...
Oops. I wasn’t finished with my comment. Lol Thanks for the post Christy. I can relate. I’ve done my share of reflection on this very topic and you know my pattern to stay in the doing vs being. Learning to pause and embrace it all with greater awareness, love and compassion has been a challenge. I’m learning. And finding way more peace along the way. Realizing it’s inside me and not something I need to chase. I’m learning to be with all of it - and learning to appreciate all parts as good. I’ve also come to understand I can’t do it alone as much as the independent part of myself wants to. To me- life is more and more about awareness and presence and loving all parts of myself -,realizing I’m enough right now and that I’m not broken.

Absolutely brilliant and wise, my friend. I think about this stuff all the time. It was so great to hear your take on it. I'm 100% with you!
Thank you Julie!!!
Excellent advice, my friend. The work will be there later - with or without the fretting - enjoy the moment!
Where was your amazing photo taken??

This is 100% true, but it is the most difficult thing to do: "So, the meaning of life, in my opinion? It’s all about the moment."
It sure is hard to do!!!
This is so exactly right, and the “being here now” a continual practice. Not so easy, but so important. Thank you for saying this so well, Christy.
I’ve done my
